![]() Help us track, narrow down and consolidate all bug reports that we receive on Discord, the forums and Github. Leave a review of the game so others can judge better if its for them.įind a bug as listed on the Bug bounty program! We pay a little for it too. Here are some things that are always helpful to us: We are always very much appreciative of players that want to go beyond just buying the game. I love what you guys are doing, how can I contribute? Unlikely that we can realisticly bring the full VS experience to mobile, but we do hope get the game on consoles some day. The game does currently run on a Steam Deck - with a bit of configuration required, check the forum for setup details. We are sufficiently funded to keep developing the game for many years to come.Īre there any plans to ever bring VS to mobile or consoles? Yes, we build and release a major update roughly every 5 to 7 months, and we have been doing so for the past 7 years with no plans of stopping. That being said, going through the main challenges alone should easily offer at least 100 hours of engaging gameplay. As for its completion - we cannot really put a time on it because we see no reason not to keep adding new content for many years to come. The game is being developed with a carefully planned release cycle to always offer very stable gameplay. While we do consider Vintage Story to still be 'technically' in early access due to one or two of our planned features not yet included, that's because we are perfectionists! The game is fully playable and offers rich and varied gameplay from the Stone Age through to the Steel Age, including (from version 1.18) story elements. In all of these cases so far this is the issuing bank declining the transaction. I'm trying to buy the game with a credit card, but it was declined. Discounts on bulk purchases (20+ accounts) are a possibility, please contact us if you are interested. Beyond that there are currently no plans to sell the game temporarily or permanently at a lower price. We also sometimes give out use- and time-limited coupons to influencers with a target audience from low-income countries, such as Russia or Brazil. We offer a Family Pack which gives 4 game accounts at a nice discount compared with buying them individually. We are also aware that it would make purchasing the game easier for people living in certain countries.ĭoes Vintage Story ever go on sale / be in a bundle / offer a %-off coupon? And yes, we are aware that the increased exposure from being on Steam would likely compensate for the high revenue cut. That being said, it is still possible that the game will be on Steam some day. Launching on Steam also requires a lot of work from the team that would take away from development time. When we feel like it might be ready for Steam, we'll reconsider. ![]() The more we improve our game, the more we can prove their accusations wrong. Although we've come a long way, we still get plenty of people who glance at Vintage Story and call it a Minecraft clone or a paid mod. You only get one chance to debut on Steam and the momentum from that debut determines if your game takes off like a rocket or if you get review bombed into oblivion. We think the game still needs more polish before it would be ready for Steam anyway. If you don't like our game, even after 2 hours of game play, then we don't want to keep your money. We would like to be able to refund for longer than that. Steam policy prevents refunds after 2 hours of game play. Steam takes a 30% cut of the revenue, which we see as unreasonably high, and leaving us developers with a significantly smaller share of the proceeds after the 5% transaction fees, 20% VAT and ~25% income tax deductions. Yet, we would like to avoid putting the game on Steam for the time being for several reasons: Steam is a great platform to sell your game, we know.
